About
Join mezzo-soprano Kezia Bienek and pianist James Southall as they explore rare songs that have been hidden in the Foyle Opera Rara Collection. The programme features songs and operatic excerpts by Gaetano Donizetti and his contemporaries, mixing well-known examples of the mezzo-soprano repertoire with songs that have been hidden in the archives since their creation in the early 19th century.
“No doubt about it, Kezia Bienek had star quality from the start” (Artsdesk.com)
“James Southall brings the score to life with zest” (The Guardian).
