About
Opera Rara’s 2024/25 Salon Series comes to a close on 8 May 2025 with a night of rare songs featuring mezzo-soprano Joanna Harries and pianist Anna Tilbrook. Harries, who made her Opera Rara debut in Offenbach’s La Princesse de Trébizonde in 2022, returns in a programme of newly discovered songs by Donizetti and his contemporaries, including rarely performed songs by women composers of the same era.
Praised for her “stylish” singing (Opera magazine) and “emotional force” (The Times), Joanna Harries is a former young artist of the National Opera Studio, one of Opera Rara’s educational partners. Join us to celebrate these artists in an intimate evening of song in the heart of Marylebone at 22 Mansfield Street. The evening starts with a welcome drink at 7:00 PM followed by the performance at 7:30 PM and post-concert reception with the artists.
