Opera Rara’s Artistic Director Carlo Rizzi at the piano performs with American tenor and Opera Rara’s Artist Ambassador Michael Spyres on Volume 3, and on Volume 4, Canadian mezzo-soprano Marie-Nicole Lemieux performs with Italian pianist Giulio Zappa as they share their recital albums featuring songs that have not been heard in nearly 200 years. The curator of the Donizetti Song Project and editor of the new critical edition of songs, Roger Parker, will give insights into this recently restored collection of previously unknown works by Donizetti.
