Opera Rara invite you to sample undiscovered bel canto treasures in a concert with tenor Julian Henao Gonzalez and pianist Anna Tilbrook. This salon concert, curated from the Foyle Opera Rara Collection, features songs and operatic excerpts by Gaetano Donizetti and his contemporaries, mixing well-known examples of the tenor repertoire with songs that have been hidden in the archives since their creation in the early 19th century.

Colombian tenor Julian Henao Gonzalez has been praised for his “noble vocal colour” (Wiener Zeitung) and his “smooth, golden tenor” (Der Standard). Pianist Anna Tilbrook has been proclaimed by BBC Music Magazine as “an outstanding accompanist: discreet when necessary, but also able to make the simplest phrase or chordal progression tell without a touch of exaggeration.”
