Sir Mark Elder, Artistic Director, invites you to join him for an evening talk and reception with our repertoire consultant, Prof Roger Parker to learn more about Opera Rara’s new critical edition of Puccini’sLe Villi (one act).

The original one-act version of Puccini’s first opera Le Villi has not been heard since 1884 despite its successful premiere at Milan’s Teatro dal Verme. Thanks to Opera Rara, it will be recorded in studio and then performed at a concert at the Southbank Centre on November 21st. The cast includes Ermonela Jaho, Arsen Soghomonyan and Brian Mulligan, under the direction of Sir Mark Elder, with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
