Salon Series: Alessandro Fisher and Anna Tilbrook at Stone House
10 May 7:00pm
£50
About
Join award-winning tenor Alessandro Fisher and pianist Anna Tilbrook at the historic Grade II* listed Stone House in an exploration of the solo songs of Gaetano Donizetti. Although mainly known for his operas, Donizetti wrote songs throughout his career, demonstrating an extraordinary range of styles and a vein of music-making often quite different from his writing for the stage. A few of these songs are justly well-known, but many more of equal quality disappeared entirely from the repertory and will be here presented for the first time in nearly two hundred years.
