The Opera Rara Salon Series comes to the National Opera Studio in a new partnership as we delve into the music of Jacques Offenbach.

Artists from the National Opera Studio share the stage with two of the acclaimed tenors from Opera Rara’s latest recording and performance of Offenbach’s Barkouf, François Piolino and Philippe Talbot. Together, they explore the wit, invention and tenderness of Offenbach’s music, in an evening celebrating one of opera’s most distinctive and entertaining composers.

The programme offers a chance to hear Offenbach’s music performed by both emerging artists and internationally acclaimed singers, bringing together the next generation of opera talent with artists who have championed Offenbach’s rarely heard works.

The pre-concert talk with music historian Flora Willson and conductor Paul Daniel begins at 6:15pm.
