Discover opera's past. Protect its future.
We are rewriting operatic history, and we need your help.
Opera Rara is a charity that does not receive any public funding. None of our work is possible without the generosity of our supporters, and our treasured Friends and Patrons play a crucial role in our success. Our supporters refer to Opera Rara as a “family”. Many have donated for years, if not decades. They enjoy seeing the impact of their support through a close relationship with our artistic process, witnessing operatic history in the making at once-in-a-lifetime performances and nurturing the next generation of talent.
We invite you to become a member of our family of supporters.

Gramophone Magazine on Opera Rara's new vision
"Opera Rara was named Label of the Year at the 2024 Gramophone Awards. The accolade was a long time coming. As a record label, Opera Rara had spent decades doing everything that Gramophone’s critics and readers delight in – offering excellent recordings of novel repertoire prepared with pride, passion and love... As it counts down to its 60th anniversary, Opera Rara is setting its sights rather higher."
